Romayne Husbands, 26, has been remanded into custody for the murder of John Jay on 25 April 2020.

Husbands, 26, of Winchester Road, Walthamstow, was charged with murdering Mr Jay at Trinity Close, Dalston, E8.

The Metropolitan Police state he was arrested following an assault which occurred around 12:25.

John Jay, 27, was found injured and taken to an east London hospital where he died.

Homicide detectives from the Met’s Specialist Crime North brought the charge against Husbands.

He did not indicate a plea at Thames Magistrates’ Court and will appear at The Old Bailey by Wednesday 29 April.
