A housewife poured boiling water on her sleeping husband in a ‘premeditated’ domestic attack during lockdown, a court heard.
Amina Ahmed, 54, allegedly poured the boiling water on husband Elmi Abdulle at their family home on Monday 11 May.
Ahmed appeared yesterday (12 May) to indicate a not guilty plea to one charge of causing grievous bodily harm, Willesden Magistrates’ Court heard.
Prosecutor Neehal Patel said: ‘The defendant has poured boiling water on her partner while he was sleeping.
‘The crown say the assault was premeditated for a prolonged duration, and she had intention.’
Wearing a black veil the mother-of-three appeared via videolink from Wembley police station and indicated a not guilty plea through her solicitor.
Ahmed, 54, of Hay Lane, Brent, was remanded into custody yesterday (12 May) until a hearing at Harrow Crown Court on 9 June.
